Penny Lane is my type of house, I just love these rustic cortijos full of character, and dinner by the look of these photos. There is so much you can do with this type of property. My husband of course would run a mile, but I love a challenge and the thrill of planning your own home amid so much rustic charm.
Penny Lane is actually two houses together, the rooms ramble off in all directions plus the location is good with excellent views.
Inside the assortment of rooms would provide at least five bedrooms. The lounge has an original fireplace, loads of beams and nooks and crannies. The kitchen works! and the bathroom works, this is accessed from outside. Both of these would need replacing, but you could live in the house while the work was being done.
Outside there is loads of room for a pool or patio and terraces. I instantly fell into plan mode when I saw the beautiful well in the garden.
The main house has all papers, plus there is a smaller dwelling included in this sale (100m2 needs reforming) that has not yet been registered, this would not be a problem to legalise. So you are getting a lot of bricks with this one.
The access, although not tarmac is good, and offers superb views all round. The village of Fuente del Conde is 5 mins away, where there is a shop and bar/restaurant. Iznajar and Loja are both less than 20 mins drive.
Granada airport is 40 mins and Malaga just under the hour. So if you are looking for a project, this one takes a lot of beating.
